So, what are water spots and how do we, as detailers, resolve them?
At Detailing World, we often get asked for advice on how to remove unsightly water spots from the paintwork and glass surfaces.

Water spots are white spots left by water on the paint or glass of the car. Common sources of water spots include most tap water, rain, snow in the winter and any unfiltered water.
Minerals and salts in the water get deposited on the surfaces as the water evaporates off. Over time, these corrosive solids will etch the surface; if you do not remove them quickly, they can leave permanent damage.

What Products Will You Need For Removing Water Spots From A Car's Paint?
Here is a couple of products that the team at Detailing World recommend, and know work, that will help you remove hard water spots:
Q²M WaterSpot is very easy to use. Before applying, clean the bodywork with a gentle, pH neutral high-quality shampoo and dry the surface.
Then spray directly onto the paint or on a microfiber cloth and wipe the area affected with water spots. If there is strong staining, spray generously directly onto the surface and wipe the surface a few times with a microfiber. Repeat if required.

This water spot remover has a strong acidic mixture that softens the hard minerals that have been left behind by hard water; especially by lawn sprinklers.
Make sure when you start this you always have something to rinse off the eraser gel. eraser gel is a product is going to eat through the calcium that you have here, but we also want to make sure that after you put it on the surface that you rinse it off after the work's been done.
Whenever you're working to remove water spots on the glass with eraser gel your time is less than one minute to be able to rinse this off It will work but it will etch glass if you do not rinse it off right away It sounds little scary... not really.
You just got to work out one by one area or a two by two area quick enough that you can put it on let it do its job and then rinse it off now for doesn't come off right away rinse it off, put it on again rinse it off put it on again; until the water spot is removed
