The Carnival of Cars: Ken Hoshauer Memorial Car Show at Detailing World Manheim

The Carnival of Cars Returns: Ken Hoshauer Memorial Car Show at Detailing World Manheim Local automotive enthusiasts and community members are invited to Detailing World in Manheim, PA. Scheduled for June 28th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, this open car meet is completely free to the public, with no registration or attendance fees required. This specific gathering serves a dual purpose: showcasing local automotive builds and honoring the life and legacy of Ken Hoshauer, a foundational figure in the Lancaster County car community, while raising vital funds for the Lancaster County Children's Alliance. Event Logistics: What to Expect at The Carnival of Cars The Carnival of Cars is structured as an open, free-flowing meet suitable for vehicles of all makes, models, and eras. Whether you drive a classic muscle car, a modern import, or a custom truck, all vehicles are welcome. No Entry Fees: Zero cost for registration or general admission. Diverse Vehicle Display: A wide variety of classic, custom, and modern vehicles. Live Entertainment: An on-site DJ providing music throughout the duration of the show. Refreshments: A dedicated beer vendor will be available for attendees. Detailing Supplies: The Detailing World Manheim storefront will be open, allowing attendees to restock on professional-grade car care products. Honoring a Local Automotive Pillar: Ken Hoshauer This month’s event is dedicated to Ken Hoshauer, who passed away on June 2, 2026. Ken was deeply embedded in the regional car scene and was known for his extensive involvement with multiple automotive organizations. He was the Founder and President of the Susquehanna Valley Camaro and Firebird Club, as well as an active member of both the Vagabonds Rods & Custom Club and The Red Rose Antique Auto Club. Attendees who frequented local shows likely recognize Ken from his regular appearances alongside his pristine 1967 and 1984 Chevrolet Camaros. Beyond his automotive interests, Ken was known for his 47-year marriage to his wife Cathy, his career in the home mortgage industry helping local families achieve homeownership, and his distinct personal interests—including bowling, Flyers hockey, and Disney. To pay tribute to his vibrant personality, attendees are highly encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts to the event, a signature look of Ken's. Cruising for a Cause: The Lancaster County Children's Alliance In alignment with the Hoshauer family's wishes, this memorial car show will include a dedicated fundraising initiative. All memorial contributions collected during the event will go directly to the Lancaster County Children's Alliance. This allows the local car community to leverage a shared passion for automobiles into tangible, financial support for a critical local organization. Representatives and collection points will be stationed at the event for those who wish to contribute. The Carnival of Cars Is Breaking News!

Detailing World's Carnival of Cars Car show was featured on Fox43 local news!  Held in Manheim, the Carnival of Cars allowed enthusiasts to talk to owners and buy supplies to fix up their rides.  Some who came out spoke about how remodeling cars they bought years ago became a fun family project.  "With my father and my son's help, we've completely torn everything apart [and] rebuilt all the gaskets [and] all the engine parts," said Tom Alexander, owner of a 1999 BMW Z3 Roadster. "It's been a really good bonding experience for the three of us. It's getting to the point that I can really drive it and enjoy it." This was our first Carnival of Cars event of 2026, and we have more planned each month!
